    Default "That Owl Movie"

It's actually called "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole"

I loved Happy Feet. I thought they did a good job of giving the penguins distinctive looks without getting too crazy, and giving them facial expressions without getting too cartoon-y, and the detail in some of the scenes was mindblowing. But the storyline was chopped and stopped making sense about an hour in.

The owl movie is done by the same people, but it's only an hour and a half long and based off a series of kid's books. So all the GOOD stuff from Happy Feet is there (minus the musical numbers), minus the bad stuff.

Basically, this is Lord of the Rings with owls, and it fucking rocks. I give it an 8 out of 10 and recommend you go see it.

    As evidence, I present:

    A Good Owl

    An Evil Owl

    A Fluffy Baby Owl

And An Owl in Fucking Armor.

There are many things you should not put in beer. Swans are one of them.

I saw the poster for this.

Seriously, WTF is it about? Where did it come from. It has Harry Potter font so does that mean it will be the first of several?

Though Owls in armour is v. cool.

This one kind of looks like some odd, face-squashed cat in armor.

All in all, the movie looks visually stunning. The people who did this and Happy Feet obviously know how to do CGI birds very, very well. Is there a bizarre anti-fishing plot in this one?

Not having read the books, I really thought this was a "World of Harry Potter" movie about the owls. With the typeface and the style of the commercial, that's what they seemed like to me.
