Delaney left it there earlier, when he, Collins and Rangin were in the suite.

In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Correct. He set up an automatic program for the tricorder to try to crack the code of the safe.
We know there DNA in the room from other people, not just Mrs Hsu, If he was having multiple affairs as was rumoured, the question becomes how did he get them in without anyone noticing.
Its the lack of other people's footprints on what should be a private way in, that has Rangin thinking.
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Oh, okay. I've been assuming that the DNA belonged to cleaning people or staffers, rather than a never-ending supply of paramours! And here Rangin's been working on the premise that Wilson is a total slut. Interesting angle!
Dang, suddenly I'm wondering if Wilson's dead at all. Maybe he's a shapeshifter or something who... um... performed intense surgery on someone to make the dead guy look like Wilson. Yeah okay, LOL, that makes no sense. Also, I don't remember any shapeshifters in the Trekverse until that dog creature in the horrible TNG episode about Geordi finding love with a dead woman's videos. (I will say, as ridiculous as the reconstructive surgery idea is, at least it'd explain why the corpse lacked any injury to his ankle! )
Okay I got nuthin'. Onward ho!
Don't worry, I pinched some salt packets from the canteen - just in case.

So, I wonder what's behind the door. I'm hoping for a secret batcave type area.

So am I! Oh lord, what if it's the Hsus' bedroom? That'd be convenient. Although why would they need an access hallway just between those two bedrooms? Whatever it is, I hope Rangin keeps his phaser ready.
Y'know, I forget--when Collins and Rangin were in the suite before (it was Rangin, right? Or was it Delaney?), why didn't they check/notice this hallway then?
Graham finally asks the two most difficult questions of the mission! "What scent does Bennett like" and "Are you and Kylah lesbites?" Congrats, dude!
Meanwhile, poor Rangin seems to have entered an Infocom text adventure. "You are in a maze of twisty passages, all alike..." (Am I the only one old/geeky enough to know this reference?)
:: crickets ::
Yes, I guess you are....
Oh man. In this crowd? That is scary.
It's actually not original to Infocom, but it's a famous line from some of the very first computer games, text adventures, in particular one called Adventure. But it's more familiar (to me, at least) from the classic Infocom game Zork.

At least there is a light. I am unlikely to be eaten by a grue.

I thought it might have been Zork, or maybe Hunt The Wumpus, but you're too young to remember that one.
Wumpuses are not indigenous to Omicron Ceti III.
Is this a good time to see if anyone remembers Eric and the Gazebo?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Remember it? LOVE IT.
Heeheehee. A great gaming tale: http://www.netfunny.com/rhf/jokes/98/Jul/gazebo.html
Sorry about that. Always wanted to ride in a lift hitting every floor on the way up for fun.

Is "27" this RPG's version of "47"? Starbase 27, 27 staff members and oaths for poor Rangin to administer...
Who knows and hopefully we will have some more action soon other than just Rangin and Markovich having fun carrying out scientific experiments. Serious scientific experiments
Don't tell me - another 27 hours before we find out what Kylah and Mrs Hsu are up to next?

The discussion's in the editorial stages right now. Sorry, this was a particularly sensitive interview! We probably could've done it "live" and it wouldn't have taken any longer, actually, what with EH's and my different schedules, but I'm glad we didn't since some things did need tweaking.
meanwhile, Dobson is waiting for Delaney to suggest something that will cause her to have a epiphany
You know when I said 27 hours I was joking. So in the grand tradition of this kind of thing, what's everyone's favourite drink while waiting for play to resume.
I used to play in a pub, so it was always a great time to get a round in. Anyone else?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
I like the sweet drinks, like White Russian, Bahama Mama, Toasted Almond etc etc etc
It's actually embarrassing but I don't really drink (alcohol). Not that I'm a teetolaler, I just never liked the taste much. The only stuff I ever really enjoyed were total girly/dessert drinks--frozen strawberry daiquiris and piña coladas.
Honestly, since I've given up caffeine and sugary drinks, the thing I most crave is a nice, icy bottle of Coke. Yum! It's been years since I indulged.
So that's my dull response. What's yours?
Why should it be embarrassing, if you don't like the taste, you don't like it.
But for me, when gaming - a Bottle o' Dog aka Newcastle Brown Ale
OTOH, I can give up caffeine for Lent, but that is as far as it goes. Coke is, of course, godly.

I know, I know, but I hate sounding like a prude or immature in some way. I don't even like wine, so I never feel like a proper adult when I dine in restaurants. (Not that I order soda, I just have water.)
I'm sure there's crack in it. I think they lied about taking the cocaine stuff out! What RPG or other game(s) do you usually play in real life? I know literally no one in RL who would enjoy RPing. I'm definitely mixed up with the wrong sort of crowd! But for me, when gaming - a Bottle o' Dog aka Newcastle Brown Ale

Martini, dry, and ALWAYS gin goddammit
I would've figured you for a whisky or Scotch fella myself.
proper way to make a Martini: I jigger of Gin in an iced glass; hold an open Vermouth bottle close to the glass and let the fumes fall in.
So basically, straight-up gin.
I always wondered what a martini tastes like. What sort of flavor does the vermouth add to the gin? The one "proper" liquor drink I ever enjoyed was a gin and tonic (albeit heavy on the lime and tonic, light on gin), but I think that's mostly nostalgia since that was my Pop's favorite drink.
BTW in my defense re: the delay, our convo was finished yesterday (Saturday, for CIAS for whom it's already Monday) morning. It's just that EH has been busy or he'd've posted it by now. Sorry again!
I tend to agree...although it depends on the gin... a clean London dry (my preference), a more floral gin (the local distilleries tend to tend that way apparently because of the incentives to use local ingredients that for one reason or another tend that way), or an offbeat gin like Hendricks... Some martinis are all about the gin, others about the "mixed drink"
Yes, very busy here over the weekend - my apologies.
As for my own tastes, I have a beer maybe every other week, on average - one of the local microbrews, or a Heineken, Dos Equis, Corona or Moosehead. I have wine a little more often - smoky merlots or very dry chardonnays are my favorites, depending on the food I'm having with it. I have whiskey maybe three or four times a year; no particular favorite. But most of the time I just drink ice water.
Well if we're doing specifics:
Gin: The Botanist
Beer: Gulden Draak
Single malt: Laphroaig
Sake: Dewanoyuki
Wine (varietals): Merseault (white), Cornas (red)
Those are probably all the cases where there is a clear #1
I haven't played IRL for quite a while now. Keep thinking about seeing if there are any groups in the area. Last game was a long running Legend of the 5 Rings campaign I was running. 1st Edition, most certainly not the D20 edition.
As for drinks: I can't stand gin and I do nasty things to whisky...like add orange cordial to it.
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
I know a number of nerds - I mean, similarly awesome cool dudes - who are D&D players going all the way back to when we were freakish - ah, I mean studley - kids. Probably have played something 1x/year on average over the last 10 years (including true awesomeness like getting cross-country game together on skype) ... but some of the nephews are getting old enough to get into D&D so I suspect we'll have some kid-driven gaming soon.
My monitor died, but near as I can tell, the iMac is fine. Typing on the iPad is tedious so I will be scarcer than usual
Auto-correct (iPad typing) is driving me batty!
During the break, Dobson takes the clip out of her hair, sits down, kicks off her boots, puts her feet up on the table, and mindlessly plays with a lock of her hair while whistling Canadian pop hits from the late 20th Century.
LOL. Is Dobson as obsessed with the 20th century as Collins is/was? I must say I admire their flair for nostalgia. I don't think I'd be able to whistle the equivalent from my background, which I guess would be Russo-Polish folk songs of the 1800s!
For all I know, pop music may be a thing of the past by the 23rd Century. Besides, didn't Picard enjoy Mozart and Beethoven?
(I envision her whistling something by Celine Dion)

Ha! That would be awesome. I'd love for someone at a serious classical music concert at WR&R to announce the program consisting of "some of the greatest composers of the past: Mozart, Beethoven, Dion, Fiddy..."

30 minutes is long enough for a quickie with Rangin
I shan't dignify such speculations with an answer.
I'd like to think that crewman Markovich or whatever his name is gets to go to lunch too. Or is he still on duty?
