Default Myrna's Mellopants Triva Game Thread

    The Rules:

At 6PM EST every day, I will post one round of questions, with each question assigned to a specific poster. Everyone will have 24 hours to post the answer to their own question in this thread. Questions answered in this manner will be worth 10 points.

Every question in this round, however, will be open everyone playing. All players will have 24 hours from the posting of the questions to PM me answers to any question not specifically addressed to them. Questions answered in this manner will be worth 3 points to anyone who answers them correctly, UNLESS answered correctly in the thread by the poster who "owns" it, in which case no points will be assigned to those PM'ing the answer. Please do not post the answers to any question not assigned to you, but PM them to me instead.

Remember: You have until 6PM EST on the day after a round is posted to post the answer to your specific question in this thread, and to PM me answers to any of the other questions in this round. After 6PM EST, this points for each round will be added up.

Please do not use Google, Wiki, etc to look up the answers to the questions. I will have no way of knowing, but Jesus and Santa will!

I know the answer to none of these questions and as agreed to have murdered one of the Keira Knightley clones.

Hey trivmasters - I want to clarify one part of the rules because it seems to have caused a little confusion judging by some of the PMs I have received. If the person who the question is assigned to does NOT post the correct answer in this thread within 24 hours, 3 points will go to every poster who correctly PMs me the answer. It does not matter in what order I receive the PMs, as long as they are received by 6PM EST the day after the round is posted.

    Good luck!

I have no clue, but in the interests of playing I'm going to resort to the Magic Asshole, and pull Aaliyah's name out.

But I can't even be sure, now, if she was active then, but... when one has no other guess - go with the Magic Asshole.

This was, of course, visionary director Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes II: Ape Girls Behind Bars. Winslet's co-star Helena Bonham-Carter received a Best Supporting Actress nomination as the hardened bonobo lifer who entices Winslet's vulnerable 'new meat' omega-chimp into a sultry lesbian prison romance. Johnny Depp is the idealistic young aye-aye defense attorney fighting to prove Winslet's innocence while confronting a corrupt local justice system represented by the cruel silverback DA (Christopher Lee), in a stirring courtroom drama which exposes the entrenched interests and backroom politics behind Ape Law. The late Roddy McDowall was digitally recreated for a cameo appearance as the wacky bailiff. Danny Elfman's score killed three people.

"Say, Paul; I was thinking about this new song, 'Indian Reservation?' Is that really the best title, seeing as how that phrase never actually occurs in the song? It seems to me that people will probably assume it's called 'Cherokee-' something-or-other instead, since we use that word memorably several times in the chorus and finale?"

"Hmm, that's a good point. Let's remember to discuss it with the rest of the band later, right after we finish smoking this refrigerator-sized bale of pot."

(I was originally going to answer with an interminably long, meandering vignette featuring psychic children, magic Negroes, morbidly obese Baptist women, and a sprinkling of pop culture references, which would have all blown up at the end. But the more I thought about it, the more depressed I got.)
