Default A few pictures of downtown.

The other day I went for a little walk, and snapped a few shots of the downtown area of the (very small) city I live in. And since I'm sure you're all probably really excited to see North Adams, I figured I'd share.

This is the eastern end of Main St. where it intersects with Church St. As you can see there's a reason that Church St is so named (there are two other churches out of view to the right)

On Main St. there's an old theater, The Mohawk. It's been shut down the whole ten years I've been out here, though there's always talk of it re-opening or being turned into something. I wish they would. I think that'd be neat.

Mass MoCA (or, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) from underneath the overpass.

The Hoosic River, directly behind the whole Mass MoCA complex (which used to be a General Electric plant).

Porches, which are lodgings that are widely touted to tourists. What really amuses me is that they boast the mountain view in the area, but if you're standing on the porch your view is... the picture right above this one.

Unfortunately I didn't get a good downtown picture of the actual mountain view.

That looks like a nice town. I've posted pics of my town before, at night but I must take some more soon.

Hey, I've stood right where that picture was taken from.

And now for some pics from a different downtown. All of these were taken from Boston Common:

    The capitol building:

    John Hancock building:

Tremont St. Some of these are part of Suffolk University:

    Taumpy,

The marquee of the Mohawk is awesome.

I do hope they bring that to like somehow.
