My friend and sometimes poster here, M_Westerhutch runs a free fantasy baseball league on Yahoo every year, and this year she's having some trouble getting people to sign up. So I figured I'd ask here.
Maybe, How quick does it happen? When are the drafts? Does a complete novice have a chance?
The draft is this Saturday, Jim. It's an auto-draft, rather than a live one. It goes from the start of the regular season until the end of September. This particular league is pretty well suited for a novice.

Panther Squad: It's true! My scythe does not shorn the biomonsters in great swaths like it ought!
I won't be around Saturday, does that matter?
No, it doesn't. The draft goes automatically based on either your pre-set rankings of the players (which you can do any time before the draft starts), or if you don't then it goes by Yahoo's player rankings.
