FX's Justified--going to watch?

Last night while at the bar, something on the muted television caught my attention. It was the always sexy Timothy Olyphant, and he looked like this.

And I got a girl boner.

I had never even heard of this show before, but apparently it's premiering Tuesday March 16. So I looked it up this morning and saw this at the IMDB.

U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is a modern day 19th century-style lawman, enforcing his brand of justice in a way that puts a target on his back with criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service. That conflict results in a reassignment for Givens to the U.S. District covering the town where he grew up. He is an anachronism - a tough, soft spoken gentleman who finds his quarry fascinating, but never gives an inch. Dig under his placid skin and you'll find an angry man who grew up hard in rural Kentucky, with an outlaw father, who knows a lot more about who he doesn't want to be than who he really is.

And I got another girl boner. Oh my god, it's everything I've ever wanted in a television show. FX has hurt me before, and I don't really trust them, but fuck. I'm already half in love with this show. Probably after 5 minutes of watching, I'll be a complete fangirl.

I was unaware of this show until just this second, but I'll probably try giving it a watch now.

I read an article about it earlier. It looks like it might be good or it could be Walker, Texas Ranger 2.0.

Watched the premiere tonight, and I will definitely be tuning in again next week. Timothy Olyphant is hot and magnificent. Once again, Walton Goggins nails a character who really deserves to be hated but is almost sympathetic in a way. The characters are all very engaging, the writing is sharp, and I was glued to the tv from start to finish.

Oh yeah, I watched. It's part of the Sheild-Sons of Anarchy family.

It was pretty good, pilots tend to be a little rough around the edges as they usually try to cram too much stuff and too many impressions into a single episode which can make them a bit cheesy and oversaturated with indulgent self referential crap. Justified certainly had some of those moments last night (stop saying "It was justified" dammit), but I can see this going somewhere so I'm going to watch the whole season for sure.

It's nice to see Walton Goggins getting more work, but I will never not call him Shane, thanks to the Shield. According to IMBD this was only a guest appearance, so it's going to be Timothy Olyphant's show. I like the older cop boss guy, he seems pretty realistic, and I love anything where it's dudes shooting other dudes, so that's a plus too.
