Citizenship test

10 out of 15.
I'm one of the family.
5 out of 15. Boo.
But I really like tea! And curry!
I'm a raging Anglophile but knew just five questions in that I had no hope of ever getting a passing score.
Only 4. But I have no idea how I knew that about Maggie Thatcher.
When it comes to being British I guess I make a good American. 5 correct, and except for the Sex Pistols and Smiths lyrics, those were guesses. :fail:
Four out of fifteen.
Lyrics, Shakespeare, and the feminist one. :fail:
I got 6. I dind't want to be British anyway. :P
I nailed the first (Sex Pistols) and last (Smiths) questions with complete certainty, and took absolute WAGs on every single other question.
6/15. :fail: :D
0/15.
I must be an imposter or illegal immigrant or something.
I can honestly say that I didn't know any of the answers but would possibly have scored 50% out of sheer dumb luck - guaranteed with multiple answer questions, isn't it?
Quite honestly, the questions are rubbish. Sex Pistols, who cares? I was 17/18 when they emerged from the slime and never ever liked them.
Football - boring. Why would immigrants be bothered with that crap, they are probably doing their damndest to just survive.
Margaret Thatcher, apart from being fairly universally despised, what absolute trivia. Tea bags for God's sake
The rest pretty much the same.
Citizenship is about much more fundamental issues than this - this is just a pub quiz.
I'll probably be deported tomorrow.
Well, you're welcome over here in the States; we love disgruntled Brits.
Thanks Sarah,
My eldest son may be coming over but given the chance I would go back to Sweden.
Ha ha, I was thinking of working both of those points into my post. Then I figured everyone would get it. And you did! :)
Heh. That went right over my head. I was taking a more short-term view.
Ah, news of Piers Morgan Tonight has not crossed the Pond?
(Actually, I've never seen the show myself -- I was vaguely surprised to discover it's apparently still on the air.)
Yeah, well, my first thoughts were the same as yours:

They are indeed a right bunch and you are very welcome to the lot of them.
For those of you lucky enough to have escaped miss Cole, here she is:

I can't watch this crap, it is so dire it's painful.
only 4
He didn't actually move to the states but does spend a lot of time there and not much here - he travels extensively in his profession, as does his new wife, who is American (NJ).
He brought her here to work with him and she gained several very rapid promotions then was head hunted by a huge global concern and skipped through the application process in ten days - it usually takes six months minimum with them and they never really interviewed her, just a couple of informal chats and she was in.
A very impressive salary and the usual perks.
She is also going to Cambridge University on their dollar. Just read her profile and have to say I was surprised to find that she is actually a director of that company now, in less than a year.
She doesn't talk about it much.
Lovely girl in every respect. Very proud of her (and him + the rest of the kids of course).
Sorry, went a bit OT there.
Huh? Quote thingy seems to be broken :(
Quotes should be working fine.
Umm. who is that you are talking about?
Musta clicked the wrong button, sorry. Finding the funny colours hard to see.
That was my son who was planning on emigrating to the U.S. at the time, the company he worked for had a U.S. office and he spent a lot of time there.
He doesn't work for them any more but it was where he met his wife.
I'm so British I write strongly worded letters..
Hello,
I am pure Indian, and proud to be Indian.
