You are being locked into a empty 8-foot square cell for the next
24 hours.
In the cell will be a sleeping bag and nothing else.
Well, a few other things...the things that make the 24 hours
hellish.
Please pick the lesser of the following evils. They will be locked

I figure the mice will be afraid of me. Like most children.
Mice, easy. If the rats were friendly they wouldn't be a problem, but I find mice particularly non-offensive.
I was going to put Cher down as an option, but who would pick that?
That would just be cruel. I still have nightmares about that song "Believe."
I am phobic about rodents. Cats sleep a bunch.
Rats, especially wild ones, can be jerks. Like, eat-your-fingers-while-you-sleep jerks. Mice tend to be more timid and would probably spend a lot of time huddled in a corner, trying to find a way out.
So I pick mice.
Spiders are pretty awful so I picked them. Unless the rats were biting my face (think: 1984), then they'd edge out the spiders.
You did say lesser evil. The snakes would bother me least, I think. Anything but the mosquitos.
Feral cats tend to run from people, so I picked them. The mice I could get used to if I had to, so they are my second choice.
Are we allowed to kill the critters?
Non-venomous snakes can still bite pretty hard.
For 24 hours I could easily deal with the spiders (assuming non-venomous) or mice.

I note that absolutely no one here is crazy enough to go in there with the opossums.
But there aren't 5000 spiders. There are 100 spiders. I'll just cover them with the sleeping bag and stomp away. Then the bodies are under the sleeping bag anyway. Or I can use the sleeping bag to smother the cats or rats and toss the bodies in the corner.Quote:

Anything but the skeeters. All the other choices would just be lunch. With the skeetoes I'm lunch.
Just thinking about the mosquitos makes me itch. I'll take the snakes. They can't hurt me and they'll probably want to snuggle for warmth.
Mice are fearful. If they bug me I just have to go RAWR and they'll scurry.
