If Ike and FDR came back today, who would more likely recognize his party? I'd go with FDR. I'd wonder how surprised he'd be his party produced the first black POTUS and nominated te first woman. Ike would probably wonder WTH happened to his party.

Ike would be the bigger outsider but don't forget the lunatic wing of the Republicans back then did include Joe McCarthy. I think his biggest shock would be that the Dixiecrats are now pretty much Southern Republicans.

Ike, as a career military man, was never super into being a Republican anyway, was he? FDR would probably mostly be shocked at how his party had lost the South.
