Why would that be a scandal? It shouldn't be.
Now if he was the bully and beat another kid up enough to need hospital care, I could see that being a scandal.
Exit: that pretty much sums my feelings up. In the hypothetical I was thinking: he was defending his parents, but DID break the kid's jaw.
